He was born on Nov. 11, 1941 to the late George A. and Cecila (Karpenski) Hreben. He served in the U.S. Army as an MP Captain. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 28 years of service in finance. George loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing golf and going on vacation. George is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judith; George Jr. (Dawn) Hreben, Terri (Robert) Janik; 4 grandchildren: Zoe, Jack, Malcolm, and Vinnie; his brother Joseph (Alice) Hreben. Visitation will held on April 26, Thursday, from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. at PHILLIPS FUNERAL HOME, 122 West Lake Street (Ten Mile), South Lyon. A funeral mass will be celebrated April 27, Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 S. Lafayette, South Lyon.
